Our Story
A Tel Aviv cafe built on the belief that healthy food should be vibrant, generous, and deeply satisfying.
Born on Allenby Street
Mediterranean Bowl opened in 2022 with a straightforward mission: serve bowls that honor the flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean while fitting naturally into modern, health-conscious lives.
Our founders — chefs with roots in Jerusalem, Haifa, and Athens — wanted a place where the food speaks for itself. No trend-chasing, no hidden sugars. Just grains, greens, citrus, and proteins prepared with respect.
Today, locals and travelers alike find us at 88 Allenby Street, drawn by the aroma of fresh herbs and the sight of colorful bowls being assembled at our open counter.
What We Stand For
Three principles guide everything we do — from sourcing to plating.
Ingredient Integrity
We know our suppliers by name. Every tomato, every chickpea, every lemon has a traceable path from farm or market to your bowl.
Craft Over Speed
Sauces are made in-house. Grains are cooked in small batches. We'd rather serve fewer bowls beautifully than rush through a line.
Community First
We're a neighborhood cafe. Regulars know our team, and our team knows what they like. That warmth is part of the recipe.
The Open Kitchen
Transparency isn't a marketing word for us — it's how the cafe is designed. Our kitchen faces the dining area so you can see every bowl come together: grains portioned, vegetables chopped, sauces spooned, garnishes placed with care.
We believe that watching your food being made builds trust — and appetite. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing fresh mint torn over your bowl moments before it reaches your hands.
